Prefinished Floors
 Hardwood Floors are a beautiful addition to any home. To keep the warmth and beauty alive for years of enjoyment requires only a modest amount of care and cleaning.
Because dust and debris tracked over a floor can scratch and dull the finish over time, a few easy care steps are recommended to keep your floor beautiful.
- Placing door mats or throw rugs at all entrances, will help keep the dust to a minimum.
- Use soft glides on furniture legs to prevent scratching.
- Clean floors at least once a week with a vacuum or dust mop. Do not however use dusting products as they can dull the finish.
- For routine clean-ups use a damp mop on the floor, do not flood the floor with water.
- If water is spilled on the floor remove it and dry the area.
- For tough clean-up jobs use a solution of ΒΌ cup of white vinegar in 4-6 cups of warm water. Use a damp rag or sponge and wipe the floor dry as you go.
- Oil soaps or ammonia products should not be used because they can damage or dull the surface.
